Riders Cafe

Finally I suggested to have a nice brunch with my lovely gal friends at riders cafe last saturday. It was such a cosy place and was crowded on weekend. Thankfully, I booked the table 2 days before. It took us quite a while to reach there passing by so many avenues. The waffle is a must - try! Yummy!

Mini Batam Pin Hole Album

Took my LX3 along with me to the trip. Love the mode of pin-hole feel of the pictures. Hope you like the pictures just like i do. I will make it a point to do an album like this.

Batam Trip '09 - Day 3

0900 - Finally took a picture of our Cabana room surrounded by trees.

1000 - Went for our free bowling game. Ended up playing up to 3 games. We never try to bowl in the dark before. There was a power failure when we were in the midst of the game. The "power" resumed back reasonably fast. But it was still scary though. 

1200 - Went for a quick dip before we check out our room.

1410 - Took the ferry back to SG. Goodbye to Batam. Think I will not go back there again even it was still a good getaway afterall.

Batam '09 Day 2

0800 - Woke up early to have our breakfast. Get ready for our free 1.5 hr SPA(full body message + milk bath). Love their concept of the villas.

1500 - We were too hungry at this time and was pouring very heavily. We decided to call in their pizza. Surprisingly was not that expensive(SG15). Skinny Hawaian Pizza was yummy!

1600 - We were too bored. Walked around the resort and decided to call a cab out to the city(SG 15). We went to the Mega Mall and had coffee and tea . To then, Mega Mall is a more high class shopping mall.

1900 - We were feeling tired and hungry after our walk at the Mega Mall. We decided to pay the taxi driver for another 6 bucks to drive us to a nice seafood eating place. The food was great. (5 chi zhar dishes for only 10 bucks per person.)

I post this picture as we were locked outside our room. The access card was spoilt due to I placed near my hp for the whole day. The card lost its magnetism. Luckily, the hotel staff was friendly enough to help us resolve quickly.

Batam '09 Day 1

0750 - Took the ferry from Habourfront. The ferry was disappointing. Looked so old at the inside. Thank God that the ride was smooth.

0900 - Reached Batam and got onto a shuttle bus to our Harris resort. Checked in to our cabana room. 1100 - Took their free shuttle bus to Nagoya Hill. Had our lunch there. A&W and 933 seafood(recommended by Karen). The Kway Teow (Wet) was delicious. A&W does not taste as nice as before. Only for its root beer float

1430 - Went back to the hotel for a swim.

1730 - Getting ready for our candlelight dinner buffet.

2000 - Snooze Off Mode. More on the Day 2 coming soon.

I'm just back from a short getaway. I already long for a holiday again.
